By accessing and using Vestigo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Vestigo is an OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) platform that collects and presents publicly available information from open internet sources. Access requires a paid subscription after a free trial period.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use Vestigo only for lawful purposes. Prohibited uses include:

• Stalking, harassment, or any activity targeting individuals without lawful basis
• Automated mass scraping or abuse of the API
• Reselling or sublicensing access to third parties
• Any use that violates applicable laws, including GDPR and local privacy regulations

Authorised uses include journalism, background checks for employment, cybersecurity auditing (with authorisation), academic research, and professional identity verification.

3. Data Sources

Vestigo only queries publicly accessible endpoints and profile pages — information that is freely visible to any internet user without authentication. It does not access private accounts, bypass security measures, or exploit any vulnerability.

4. Privacy Policy

We collect the following data to operate the Service:

• Account data: email address and name, used for authentication and billing.
• Usage data: anonymised query counts per day to enforce quotas. Search queries are not stored or associated with your account.
• Payment data: processed exclusively by Stripe. Vestigo does not store card details.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or to operate the Service (authentication provider, payment processor).

5. GDPR — Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Subscription & Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance (weekly or monthly). You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard; access remains active until the end of the paid period. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

Vestigo is provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or availability of results. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The date at the top of this page indicates the last revision.
